How To Do Self Hypnosis

Self hypnosis can be a means to hypnotize oneself for a deep relaxation as a stress management media. Different to meditation, self hypnosis usually uses affirmations or positive statements based on the logical thoughts to counteract stress and unpleasant thoughts or feelings. There are many ways to perform self hypnosis. Below is the simplest way on how to do it:

- Find a comfortable, tranquil place in your home where there is no disturbance for at least half an hour.
- Sit in a cozy sofa or couch. Some people prefer to lie down when doing self hypnosis rather than sitting in a couch. Choose one fits you best. Remember not to cross legs or any parts of your body while doing your self hypnosis.
- Close your eyes and start to throw away any unpleasant feelings, fears, anxiety or stress out of your mind right after you find your most comfortable position.
- Be aware that your body's tension is becoming lighter and lighter.
- Take a slow, deep breath and feel that all tensions and negative things disappear in a dark cloud.
- Appreciate the fact of being exceedingly relaxed. Simply flow with the floating sensation you are feeling now.
- Find your ultimate purpose and say your healing or positive statements as many times as you wish. Usually 2 or 3 times are enough.
- Flow back to your conscious once you are satisfied, lingers a while before opening your eyes. You will feel yourself relaxed and refreshed.
